Poco is a sub-brand of Xiaomi Corporation. The brand tries to build its position in the Indian market. It is releasing quite new smartphones in recent times. Moreover, the brand has all its phones manufactured by Xiaomi. Poco is competing with all the other brands in the mid-range price segment. The brand launched the Poco M2 Pro smartphone in India in the month of July. Recently, there is another phone called Poco M2 launched today. Almost, Poco M2 specifications are similar to the Redmi 9 Prime or you can call it a rebrand by Poco as we have often seen in the past. Let’s see what changes they have done in this phone.

Poco M2 Specifications
Poco M2 Design
The design is the same as the Redmi 9 Prime. There is a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection at the front and it uses the plastic back. However, there is nothing new in the Poco M2 design and it arrives with ‘Aura Balance’ design similar to Xiaomi phones with a water-drop notch. The front of the phone has a massive 6.53-inch screen. The back panel has a Quad-camera with a Poco brand at the bottom.
Display
The Poco M2 Pro phone may contain a 6.67 inches Full HD Plus LCD screen with 2400 x 1080 pixels screen resolution. But, on Poco M2 there is a slightly reduced 6.53-inch in-cell IPS display with FHD+ resolution and there is a water-drop notch in the display for the selfie camera. Moreover, a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display.
Battery
The Poco M2 holds a powerful non-removable 5000mAh Li-ion Polymer battery. However, the battery is of big size with excellent life. Also, the battery is likely to offer a decent standby time. Also, it supports 18W fast charging. In addition, a USB Type-C cable will be provided for charging the phone.
Processor, OS, RAM & Storage
There is a MediaTek Helio G80 Processor in the Poco M2 for smooth performance. The phone is OS is built on the Android 10 with MIUI 11 user interface. Moreover, MIUI 11 is different from stock Android in terms of themes, icons, and fonts. Also, for better graphic ARM G52 MC2 (Upto 950 MHz) GPU is available. This smartphone offers high performance and rich quality experience. The Poco M2 Pro is released in 4GB RAM +64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage models. Even, POCO M2 features a 6GB RAM with 64GB and 128GB storage options.
Poco M2 Camera
The camera setup of Poco M2 Pro includes 48MP f /1.8 Wide sensor, 8MP f /2.2 ultra-wide sensor, 5MP macro shoot sensor, and 2MP depth sensor. We can expect the same camera setup in Poco M2. But, it comes with quad-camera setup of 13MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP. The camera features include the Ultra Clear Mode, Night Mode, AI Scene Detection, Ultra Wide Angle, Pro Mode, Portrait Mode, Panorama Mode, and Slow Motion Capture. Besides, there is a reduced 8MP selfie camera in Poco M2.
Connectivity
The connectivity features are likely to be 4G, WiFi, v5.0 Bluetooth, A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and USB Type C Port. The phone may support a 3.5mm audio headphone jack. In addition, Radio, and Hotspot connectivity are available. A fingerprint sensor is also given on the phone at the rear side. The special Poco Launcher is available for this phone similar to previous Poco phones.

Poco M2 Price and Launch Date
The Poco M2 launched in two variants: 6GB RAM 64GB storage at Rs 10,999 and 6GB RAM 128GB storage at Rs 12,499. The first sale of the Poco M2 is on September 15 on Flipkart.
