Vivo has finally unveiled the Vivo S1 for the Indian market at an event today in New Delhi. This is a mid-range smartphone that emphasizes on ‘style’ as one of its key selling points. This same smartphone went on sale in Indonesia last month, which was followed by the release of a very similarly specced smartphone launching in China but with a different name as the Vivo S1 designation already applies for a very different handset in that country. Let’s now take a look at what the Vivo S1 has to offer for Indian customers, and how much the handset costs.
Vivo S1 Launch in India
According to Flipshope, a Vivo executive spilled the beans on when the Vivo S1 will arrive in the Indian market. The smartphone will reportedly go on pre-order early in August, with its sale to commence from August. As for pricing, the Vivo S1 will be offered in two storage variants where the base model will offer 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage and will be priced at INR 17,990. The more expensive model of this handset will offer 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The source was not able to confirm the exact pricing of this variant, though, but we don’t expect it to be too much higher than INR 20,000.
