LG has launched a new variant of its LG G5 smartphone with the model number in LG-H858 in Taiwan. This new variant is called LG G5 Speed because it supports three band aggregation and provides 4G data at a speed of 300 Mbps.
The specifications of LG G5 Speed are quite similar to LG G5. It sports a 5.3 inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560X1400 pixels. The display is designed with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. G5 Speed is powered by a Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clocked at 2.15GHz and coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The 32 GB internal storage can be expanded up to a massive 2 TB via an external microSD card. There are two rear cameras at the back panel with 16MP and 8Mp sensors that capture images in 135-degree wide view. The front camera is of 8 MP with f/2.0 aperture. The rear panel also houses the power button and a fingerprint sensor. LG G5 Speed runs on Android 6.1 Marshmallow with LG’s UX 5.0 UI on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, OTG, and a USB Type-C port. The mobile supports dual SIM but offers 4G data in only one SIM. G5 speed is backed by a battery of power 2800 mAh that offers 240 hours of standby time. It comes with many modular accessories called Friends of the phone.
LG G5 Speed will be available in Gold, Pink and Black variants and the price is unknown. Its predecessor, LG G5 was launched with a price of Rs. 52,990 and is made available online through Flipkart. Along with LG G5, the company also gives LG Cam Module worth Rs. 6500 for free. The availability of G5 Speed in other markets is also not known.
