Homegrown smartphone maker Micromax has added two new smartphones in its Canvas-series, the Canvas Juice 3 and Canvas Juice 3+. The company has announced the price for Canvas Juice 3 at Rs. 8,999 and said that it will be available across online and offline stores.

Regarding the Canvas Juice 3+, the company has not revealed the pricing, but it has said that the handset will be available sale by end of September and the company is likely to announce the pricing at the time of release. The Canvas Juice 3+ will be also available via offline and online retail channels, noted the company.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Canvas Juice 3 features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, runs Android 5.1, includes 8GB of inbuilt storage and sports a 2-megapixel front camera.

The Micromax Canvas Juice 3+, on the other hand features a larger 5.5-inch screen with similar resolution. Both the handsets feature Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection from scratches on screen. The Canvas Juice 3+ runs Android 5.0  , sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and comes with 16GB of built-in storage.


Rest of the specifications on the Micromax Canvas Juice 3 and Canvas Juice 3+ are the same. They both pack a large 4000mAh battery, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and sport an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash. Both support expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Both the Canvas Juice 3 and Juice 3+ offers connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.

Speaking on the launch, Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax, said, “With the introduction of two new smartphones in our Canvas Juice series, we aim to create a perfect value proposition enabling our highly mobile consumers to make the most of these heavy duty marathon batteries for work and entertainment requirements”.

The main thing to notice is, mobiles are having good battery life. But, it is not having 4G support.
